BIOGRAPHY

Erika Soteri is a British-Cypriot singer-songwriter with Italian and Middle-Eastern roots, known for fusing soul, jazz, r&b and latin rhythms into a sound that is as eclectic as it is captivating. With an extraordinary ability to cut straight to the heart of her listeners, Erika’s music is a deeply intimate exploration of identity, culture, relationships, and the profound human experiences that shape us.

Her journey began at just two years old, when she was enrolled in a Performing Arts school and immersed in a world of music, dance, and theatre. Born into a family of creatives, Erika was raised in an environment where artistic expression was second nature. This early foundation ignited a passion for performance and songwriting that continues to define her work. Her fervent lyrics, shimmering melodies, and soul-touching vocals have become hallmarks of a sound that is emotionally raw yet musically refined.

Erika’s career first gained momentum in 2018 with her debut neo-jazz single Pablo, a slinky, emotive introduction to her unique voice and style. The following year, she became a semi-finalist on The Voice of Greece, earning national attention for her vocal strength and artistic presence. Erika later graduated with First Class Honours in BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice from The Academy of Contemporary Music, where she trained under industry veterans such as Jono McNeil (Michael Bublé, Nelly, George Ezra), Katie Hector (Emeli Sandé, Jessie J, Tom Jones), and Brian Henry (Soul II Soul, Chaka Khan, Incognito). This rigorous academic training, paired with hands-on experience, gave her a rare combination of creative authenticity and professional insight.

Her sound—a seamless blend of jazz, latin, soul, and r&b—has earned her critical acclaim and multiple awards. Erika’s songs are celebrated not only for their genre-defying style but also for their emotional vulnerability and depth. She has performed at high-profile festivals including Athens Jazz, the 10th Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase, Moonwalk Festival, Fengaros Festival, and Fengaros Reacts, lighting up stages across Cyprus, Greece, and the UK with her magnetic live performances.

On July 25th, 2025, Erika released her long-awaited debut EP, Virtue & Sin—a bold and soul-stirring collection of songs that explores the tension between light and darkness, desire and self-control, freedom and consequence. The EP marks a new chapter in her artistry: a refined, fearless, and deeply personal expression of who she is and where she’s headed.

With a voice that lingers long after the music fades and a message that resonates on a deeply human level, Erika Soteri stands as a truly distinctive voice in contemporary music—one whose light is only just beginning to shine.
